These Fender Custom shop fat 50's strat pickups, Fender part number 099 211 3000, are part of Fenders extremely popular and well loved range of genuine Fender replacement parts. In particular these replacement sets have been extremely popular with those looking to upgrade and improve instruments that require original or vintage sounding authentic tones. These pickup sets are designed to provide the sound of a classic 50's strat, but with the addition of an enhanced bass response and at the same time avoiding the harsh mid-range that can drown out a more general all round balanced tone. The custom shop Fat 50's pickups are superb, they are hand bevelled and built around Alnico 5 Magnets and feature Formvar magnet wire. The middle pickup is reverse wound for hum cancelling in positions 2 and 4.
